• What is Littlest Pet Shop?
Littlest Pet Shop is a toy franchise owned by Hasbro. The original toy series was produced by Kenner in the early 1990s. An animated TV series was made in 1994 by Sunbow Productions and Jean Chalopin Creativite et Developpement based on the franchise.
A new version of Littlest Pet Shop was introduced in 2005 by Hasbro, with revisions such as larger eyes. There are currently over 3,000 different pets that have been created under this revision.
Hasbro alongside various digital media developers have produced video games for consoles such as the Nintendo DS, Wii and PlayStation 3. An animated TV series of the same name is currently being produced by Hasbro Studios, and premiered in 2012.
Hasbro has also created virtual pets to adopt and play with online. These websites were Littlest Pet Shop VIP, and Littlest Pet Shop online, better recognized as the name LPSO. Neither lasted longer than 3 years, but were very popular and enjoyed by many kids. In 2010, Hasbro released their version of Blythe as a part of this toy line.

2. Start your collection! To start your collection, you need to buy your first LPS! First, depending on how old you are ask your parents if you can have an LPS collection, as they might not want a bunch of plastic toys laying around. If you're not sure where to buy them, here are some ideas! • Amazon • Toys R Us • Argos • The Entertainer • Smyths Toys Superstore You may want to start off by buying a blind bag, or you may be able to find some sets which contain 2-4 LPS! Once you have bought your first LPS, you have officially started your LPS collection! Yay! You may also want to buy a starter pack, it contains a couple LPS and is great for starters! But watch out, as there are fake LPS, I will talk about these now, in the third post.

3. Fake LPS! • What is a fake LPS? Fake LPS are figures that someone has made, that look just like the real thing, but they also look slightly difftent, therefore, there is a way to identify a fake LPS! They are mostly found on EBay and and can also be found on online stores like Amazon. They can also be found at yard sales being sold as singular figures, so before buying an LPS from a yard sale, try squishing its head, or ripping its head off, if the head squishes, or the head comes off SUPER EASY, then it is most likely fake. • How do I identify a fake LPS? Here are a few ways to identify a fake LPS! The paint chips of easily. The eyes are often smaller. The LPS has a squishy head. The tail and ears sometimes rip off. The paint is messy. The paint is sometimes smudged all over the place The head rips off really easy. The LPS doesnt have the 'LPS' symbol on it. The head is a different colour than the body. The LPS is super cheap. The shape of the animal is off-center. The entire pet is not authorised. It is a made up animal that is not a real animal. • Here are some videos showing fake LPS! I do not own any of these. Hopefully those give you an idea of what fake LPS are, but if you'd like, you may search more up on YouTube!

4. Building your collection! • What does building my collection mean? Building your collection is basically adding more things to a collection and making it bigger! • How do I build my collection? You can build your collection by keep buying LPS! Each time you buy an LPS, you are gradually adding to your collection, this is making your collection bigger each time! • Here are some suggestions for building your collection! Ask for LPS as a Birthday or Christmas present, I have done this and it is extremely helpful. Save your pocket money up to buy an LPS of your choice, say if you saved up 10 pounds, that could get you a couple LPS blind bags! If a friend offers you a free LPS, take it! As this will add to your collection.

5. Trading LPS! Now that you have a collection started, you have enough LPS to begin trading! • What is LPS Trading? LPS Trading is just like trading on games; you give your LPS for a different LPS. This is also a great way to get older, rarer LPS! • How do I find someone to trade? If you friends collect LPS, ask them if they're willing to trade, however do not force them if they do not want to, as that is their choice. Post on our LPS Trades forum - We have a forum for finding trading partners, however, you must beware of scammers. • What if I get scammed? You should not get scammed if you trade with a friend, however if you trade with someone who is on this forum, there is a higher chance of you being scammed, if you get scammed by someone on here, please tell me, another member of staff or the forum owner Judith. If you get scammed in real life, and it was not to do with this forum, I'm afraid that we cant sort this out.

6. Getting old LPS! • What is an old LPS? And old LPS is an LPS which was released a couple years ago. Older LPS are usually rarer, and are hard to find, however, if you do manage to find them, they are usually pretty expensive. Although you can get them cheaply on EBay. • Where can I get an old LPS? There are a couple different ways to get old LPS, I will list them here for you! Trading - Like I have mentioned in the post above, you can trade your LPS to get older LPS. Buying them off sites such as EBay - You can get old LPS cheap-ish on sites like EBay, however, they aren't normally in the best condition, and usually aren't in their original packaging. Although occasionally you will find a good condition one, or one in its original packaging. When buying LPS from sites like EBay or similar, there are a lot of fake LPS there, stated on my second post, you should make sure that the LPS isn't fake. • Why are old LPS so expensive? Old LPS are normally expensive because they are older and rarer, therefore, they mostly do not sell anymore, which makes it harder for them to be found. That is why they're expensive.

7. Cleaning your LPS! Are your LPS dirty? Here I will explain some ways to clean your LPS! You will need: A bowl of water, sponge or just use your hands, soap and a towel or flannel. Step 1: Get a bowl of water and choose the LPS you would like to wash, I recommend washing 1 at a time. Step 2: Get a some soap and squirt it onto a soft sponge, or your hands. Step 3: Rub the soap into your LPS, making sure it covers all areas. Step 4: Once your are done rubbing the soap in, put the LPS in the bowl of water and rub all over it until all the soap is gone. Step 5: Get a towel or flannel and dry off your LPS. You can also do this in the sink of bath if you'd like!

8. Storing your LPS! Now that you have such a great and big collection, you're going to need somewhere to store them! • How do I store my LPS? There are many different ways to store your LPS, here are some suggestions! Put them in boxes - Putting them in boxes is a great way to store them, I have some cheap plastic boxes and they work amazingly! Although sometimes, putting them in boxes on-top of each-other can scratch the other LPS. you could also sort them out in different boxes, like one box for dogs, one box for cats, etc. Put them in draws - Putting them in draws is just like putting them in boxes! You could get some plastic draws, and put your LPS in them, you could also sort them out in different draws, like one draw for dogs, one draw for cats, etc. Put them on shelves - This is a great way to store and display your LPS at the same time! I will write about displaying LPS next.

9. Displaying your LPS! Now that you have a great LPS collection, you could put them out on display! • How do I display my LPS? Here are a few ways I recommend. Put your LPS on a shelf - Placing your LPS on a shelf is a great way to display them, however they do get very dusty, so be prepared for lots of dustering! Put your LPS on a display shelf - A display shelf is usually a square shelf with glass on the front, this way stops your LPS from getting dusty, and your LPS will be still visible to view.
